Zuma Tipped As Next Host Of 'The Daily Show'

President Jacob Zuma's trademark giggle caused a rouse in parliament yesterday during his final round of questions and answers for the year - and launched a social media hashtag, #thingszumalaughsat.

Responses to the hashtag included "his own jokes", "corruption" and "the drought".

Zuma's chortle at a question in the house prompted EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi to ask that Zuma "take us seriously".

"The president said absolutely nothing to the question and then he laughs. This is not the Trevor Noah show."

But even as Ndlozi spoke, Zuma was at it again.

"I don't know how to stop my laughter. Is it hurting?"

When an MP said laughter was a sign of "good health", Zuma guffawed again and said: "It's not hurting; it's healthy."
