Richard Dawkins denies linking ‘clock boy’ Ahmed Mohamed to Isis child killer after backlash

The scientist and biased atheist irritated a lot of people yesterday when he tweeted about Ahmed Mohamed.

Yesterday we reported that Ahmed Mohamed was seeking $15million(over £9million) in damages and an apology following his humiliating arrest when his homemade clock was mistaken for a bomb back in September.

After learning of the lawsuit, Richard Dawkins tweeted:
The link on his tweet directed followers to an International Business Times article about an Islamic State child executioner decapitating a hostage.

Dawkins’ tweets werequickly met with criticism, one person said: ‘I find your tweets disturbing.’

Another add: ‘You’re linking these 2 kids just because both muslim??? Seriously, I never said this before, but you truly are a racist c***.’

Since the backlash, Dawkins tweeted: ‘How COULD you think I was likening a hoaxer to a killer? I just meant “Only a kid” is not a knockdown defence.’

The scientist has been publicly sceptical of Ahmed’s ‘motives’ in the past but denied any sort of ill feeling towards the teen.

‘No, I just want to alert the gullible fools who fell for his scam. And STILL fall for it even after his $15m demand!’

And he added: ‘Age was literally the ONLY comparison I was making.’
