Shocking Fight Between King Cobra And Python Caught On Camera

It was an unlikely setting for such an epic battle: a college campus in the concrete jungle that is central Singapore. But the two contestant seemed oblivious to the strangeness of the scene.

Python versus cobra — the fight was on.

Passers-by on Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University campus were shocked when a reticulated python and a king cobra began scrapping each other on the street.

So without further adieu, let the battle commence:

PhD student Abhishek Ambede told the news outlet that at one point in the fight, the python “had constricted around the cobra’s head.”

After the dramatic fight had concluded, the cobra was relocated to a zoo, while the python was released into a forested area nearby.

Despite being largely covered by concrete, motorways and skyscrapers, Singapore is home to many snakes, including several varieties of coral snake, pit viper and cobra. So if you’re not a fan of our slithery-brethren, it’s probably best to stay away.
